We Climb to honor the 411 fallen first responders of 9/11
We Climb, Because They Climbed
Participation in The Climb for civilians, as well as first responders
The tragedies of 9/11 are something we will never forget as a nation. 411 first responders died on that tragic day trying to save those who could not save themselves. The Tall City 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a way to honor those first responders and make certain that we never forget. The ultimate sacrifice was made by those fire, police, and EMS personnel and we climb because they climbed.
What you need to know:
-
We will provide water, restrooms, and rest stations. You will still climb the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs. Only do what you can do. If you don’t think you can finish all 110 flights, please participate and do what you can. Nobody is counting. You’re only accountable to yourself at your fitness level.
This is not a race or competition. This is a memorial event. Depending on fitness level, this could take 1-3 hours to complete.
